Athletic/Activities Registration Live on May 1st!
This year, we will be moving away from hard copies of the SDHSAA paperwork that is mandatory to fill out for participation in school athletics. Instead, we will be digitally filling them out via Bound. This benefits the school in two big ways. First, it streamlines a process for coaches adding athletes to rosters. Second, it allows our staff to always have a record of who has filled out the paperwork directly in their pocket. In the instance of an emergency, they can then show medical professionals that any student needing medical care has the correct forms filled out.
Your student will need to register for all sports they intend to play at the correct level. On some teams, there is a middle school option, on others we will just have everyone sign up for the same team. Again, we will not be accepting any hard copies of the SDHSAA paperwork this year in the office. We have printed out copies of the actual physical paperwork for you to take to the doctor, you'll then upload those to Bound after your visit to your physician.
The two images on this post are instructions from Bound on how to register your child for sports. The one with the green square on the bottom right is if you are registering on the Bound mobile app. The one with the more gray square is if you are using a browser or computer to register. It is very likely that if your child has played a sport for the C-Hawks in the past that they already exist in our system, so don't feel like you need to create a new athlete when prompted.
Again, a reminder, these registrations are live as of May 1st!
If there are any questions, please email jacob.versteeg@k12.sd.us.
